For this unit we will be exploring aspects of the digestive system as our essential connection. You will be using your module guide and knowledge of some basic living chemistry concepts to further understand how our body digest its major biomolecules.
Instructions: You will be using the diagram of the digestive system in your module guide to complete this activity.
1) Divide the "comment" boxes in the digestive system diagram in half (vertically).
2) On the left side (of the "comment" box): a function of the organ other than chemical digestion.
3) On the right side: tracking the break down of biomolecules and where they are digested in the body. (Ex: carbs chemical breakdown begins in the mouth). Include the enzymes used and the starting and ending molecules.
