ID Membrane Transport Activity Video Lesson
Use your diagramming transport worksheet and the video below to help you getting to know primary and secondary active transport. There are also videos and simulations (links) at the bottom of the page if you are still not clear. (Stay tuned)
Instructions for Diagramming Assignment:
On the front side you will be diagramming PASSIVE processes and on the back ACTIVE processes. You have the option of creating separate diagrams for each process OR one large cross-section of the membrane for all processes.
- Requirements:
1) Draw all of the important biomolecules that are found in the membrane (lipids, proteins, and carbs). Pick one color to show all of these molecules and use the same color on all diagrams.
2) Each processes needs to show the direction of movement based on concentrations, a sample of the type of molecules moving through, and labels to show all of these items.
3) Drawings must be detailed and neat.
